Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care in our Ohio clinics. You will prepare exam rooms, assist providers, manage patient check-in/out, and help with documentation in the electronic medical record.

This role requires a high school diploma, two years in patient care, BLS, and strong communication. You will work 40 hours per week, with a competitive pay range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience as a medical assistant, EMT or other direct patient care related role.
• AHA BLS certification; non-licensed must obtain before end of orientation period.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of examination, diagnostic and treatment room procedures.
• Ability to document and maintain patient care records.
• Knowledge of vital signs, medical terminology, basic computer data entry skills; and medical record management.

Responsibilities

• Prepares exam rooms for patient encounters and assists providers with examinations.
• Reviews charts to ensure lab work and reports are available to the provider.
• Assists with patient equipment downloads and prints reports for review.
• Assists with medication reconciliation and documents patient medications.
• Performs clerical duties: registration, billing, scheduling, filing records.
• Maintains infection control and cleans exam rooms; supports cross-trained duties as needed.
