Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Plainville CT seeks a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, allergies, screenings and health maintenance. The role also covers scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep, and prior authorizations. EPIC EMR experience is preferred. Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm with travel to Southington; tuition reimbursement and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic/Medic certification.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed by the AHA within 90 days of hire.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, allergy/medicine reconciliation, screenings and health maintenance.
• Perform indirect patient care such as scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations.
• Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
