Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group seeks a Medical Assistant to support patient care across a busy practice. You will perform clinical and clerical tasks, take vitals, assist providers, and coordinate referrals.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association within 3 months
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment
• At least one year of direct patient care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care under supervision
• Take vitals, screenings, patient history, and health maintenance
• Conduct point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation
• Handle scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep, and prior authorizations
• Support virtual health and EPIC EMR documentation
