Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support for patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative setting at our Southington site. The role includes vitals, history taking, screenings, and assisting providers with procedures.

Qualified candidates may have a MA diploma or CT CNA/EMT certification, and must maintain required credentials including BLS within 90 days of hire. Travel to other offices may occur as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent credentials.
• One year of direct patient care experience preferred.
• BLS Provider certification within 90 days of hire.
• All required credentials must be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support within the Medical Assistant scope of education.
• Perform vitals, history, screenings, and point-of-care testing with quality control.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures and care coordination.
