Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care delivery. The role includes vitals, patient history, screenings and virtual health under provider supervision.

Experience in busy medical offices is preferred, EPIC EMR experience is a plus, and travel may be required between offices within Connecticut. Hartford HealthCare offers tuition reimbursement, wellness programs, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma from accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification or related experience.
• BLS Provider credential from American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
• All credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under provider supervision, including vitals, health maintenance and patient history.
• Perform scheduling, check-in/out, referrals, chart prep and prior authorizations; conduct point-of-care testing with quality control.
