GoHealth Urgent Care in Smyrna, DE is hiring a Medical Assistant to support urgent care providers in examination and treatment of patients. You will handle check-in, vitals, specimen collection, and room preparation, ensuring smooth patient flow and accurate charting.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma, MA program training, BLS certification, and MA certifications (CCMA/CMA/RMA, NCMA, NRCMA) or comparable nursing qualifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• MA certifications or Nursing qualifications accepted.

Responsabilités

• Register patients, verify insurance and collect paperwork.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments for centers.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer questions and keep patients informed.
• Prepare patients for examination and take vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care tests and manage supplies.
• Maintain medical records and scanning of charts.
• Open/close duties including cash handling.
