Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Litchfield, CT seeks a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support in the delivery of patient care, within the MA scope of education. The role includes continued training of all aspects of the Medical Assistant role.

You will perform vitals, outside medication reconciliation, screenings, and patient history, support in-house procedures, and administrative tasks such as scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out and transportation

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification.
• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association within 3 months of hire date.
• Credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care within the MA scope of education.
• Take vitals, reconcile outside medications/allergies, screenings, and patient history.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures and coordinate scheduling, referrals, and chart prep.
