Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group in Norwalk, CT is hiring a Medical Assistant to provide basic clinical and clerical support within the MA scope. The role includes vitals, documentation, and assisting providers, with opportunities for growth through our MA career ladder.

Qualifications

• Diploma or CT certification required and maintained throughout employment.
• BLS Provider credential within 3 months of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained during employment.

Responsibilities

• Vitals, outside medication reconciliation, outside allergy reconciliation, screenings, patient history and virtual health.
• Point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assists providers with in-house procedures.
• Scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check in/out, prior authorizations and transportation facilitation.
• Floats to other offices based on business needs.
