Hartford HealthCare Medical Group invites a qualified Medical Assistant to join a high-energy team at our Southington location. You will provide basic clinical and clerical support in patient care alongside dynamic physicians.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic certification or related experience.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date.
• All required credentials maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, reconcile outside medications and allergies, collect patient history and support virtual health.
• Perform point-of-care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Provide administrative support including scheduling, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations and transportation.
• Float to other Hartford HealthCare Medical Group offices based on business needs.
