Hartford HealthCare Medical Group is seeking a proactive Medical Assistant to provide essential clinical and clerical support in a fast-paced setting. You will perform vitals, patient history, and point-of-care testing while assisting providers with procedures and coordinating scheduling and referrals.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification as Medical Assistant or CT CNA/EMT/Paramedic required or relevant experience.
• Certification in BLS preferred and required within 3 months of hire.
• Maintains credentials throughout employment.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic clinical and clerical support within Medical Assistant scope.
• Take vitals, handle medication reconciliation and patient history.
• Conduct point of care testing with quality control and documentation.
• Assist providers with in-house procedures as needed.
• Schedule, chart prep, referrals, check-in/out, prior authorizations.
