Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience or a MA diploma/certification, basic computer skills, and BLS certification. Willingness to travel to other clinic sites and EMR/EHR experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience or a MA diploma/certification.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience with EMR/EHR preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Willingness to travel to other clinic sites as needed.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations of front and back office to support clinic workflow.
• Administer injections and assist with non-invasive patient care procedures such as EKGs, screenings, and waive testing.
• Obtain patient history and vital signs; ensure quality metrics are documented per regulatory standards.
• Maintain inventory and calibrate/clean equipment; stock exam rooms.
• Register patients, update demographics, enter data, and verify insurance coverage.
• Prepare end-of-day reconciliation and secure cash deposits.
• Pre-register patients and screen for program eligibility for next-day clinics.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist other departments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
