Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of MA experience, BLS certification, EMR/EHR familiarity, and the ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Medical Assistant and/or a Medical Assistant Diploma and/or a Medical Assistant Certification.
• Experience with EMR/EHR preferred.
• Experience in a primary health care setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable of personal computers.
• Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), American Heart Association.
• Ability to travel to other clinic sites as needed.
• Scheduled hours and/or work locations are subject to change.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the day-to-day operations of the front and back office, ensuring MA tasks are completed timely.
• Administers injections and assists with non-invasive procedures, such as EKGs and screenings.
• Obtains patient history and vital signs; documents quality metrics; participates in audits; MA duties in all areas.
• Maintains inventory of supplies; ensures equipment is calibrated, charged, and clean; stocks exam rooms.
• Registers patients, updates demographics, enters data, and verifies insurance; posts encounter data.
• Performs end-of-day reconciliation; ensures cash is secured and deposited.
• Prepares for next day by planning appointment types, chart prep, and pre-registration.
• Delivers exceptional customer service and assists other departments as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
