CommuniCare Health Centers (Texas) is seeking a Medical Assistant to support front and back office operations. You will assist with injections, EKGs, screenings, patient history, and vital signs while maintaining accuracy in documentation and program eligibility assessments.

Minimum one year MA experience or MA credential is expected, with EMR/EHR proficiency and BLS certification. Travel to other clinic sites may be required; strong patient communication is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year medical assistant experience or MA credential.
• Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Willingness to travel to other clinic sites.

Responsabilités

• Assist front and back office operations; coordinate referrals and patient communication.
• Administer injections and assist with EKGs and screenings.
• Obtain patient history, vital signs, complete quality metrics.
• Manage inventory and ensure equipment calibration and cleanliness.
• Register patients, update demographics, verify insurance, post encounters.
• Perform end-of-day reconciliations and secure deposits.
• Pre-register patients and screen for program eligibility.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist other departments.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
