Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs with clinical and clerical tasks. You will manage patient flow, prepare exam rooms, and document in the EHR while maintaining accurate records of vitals, allergies, and medications.

The role requires a MA program credential, HS diploma, BLS, and strong English communication. Experience with PMS/EHR is preferred, with travel to satellite offices as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and Escort patients to exam room.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and schedules.
• Prepare information needed for patient visits and document appropriately in the EHR.
• Assist in vital signs collection and documenting allergies and meds.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS and EHR.
