Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs with exam room prep, patient flow, and clerical duties across our multispecialty and urgent care network.

The MA will take vital signs, document in EHR, assist with procedures, coordinate referrals, and ensure accurate medication lists while maintaining safety and quality standards. Travel to satellite offices may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required.
• 2-4 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Travel: Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Documents appropriately in EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication list and allergies in EHR.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in PMS and EHR.
• Provides scribing services.
