Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Float Medical Assistant to support physicians across Rocky Hill and satellite locations. You will prepare exam rooms, assist with patient flow, and document vital signs and medication lists in EHR.

The role requires strong multitasking and English communication skills, plus mobility to travel to several clinics. Ideal candidates have a Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Ability to communicate in English, both spoken and written.
• Basic computer proficiency and clerical skills.
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms and assist physicians, PA, or NP.
• Manage patient flow, scheduling, and vital signs documentation.
• Enter orders in PMS and EHR; document medication lists and allergies.
• Maintain supplies, stock rooms, and assist with referrals if needed.
• Provide scribing support and ensure universal safety practices.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed for float assignments.
