Job summary

Summit Health Management in New Jersey is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, or NPs across multiple primary care locations, including Clark, Westfield, Berkeley Heights, and New Providence. The role combines clerical duties, patient flow, and clinical tasks, with duties such as room setup, vital signs, EHR documentation, and scheduling.

Travel to satellite offices is required. Qualifications include a HS diploma, completion of MA or phlebotomy program, 0-1 year experience

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required.
• 2-4 years related work experience, preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Travel: Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room when exam is complete.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit.
• Documents appropriately in EHR.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders appropriately.
