Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and advance patient-centered care across clinics. The MA will handle clerical duties, patient flow, vital signs, and EHR documentation.

Responsibilities include preparing examination rooms, maintaining efficient patient flow, scheduling, and assisting with referrals and orders in PMS/EHR. Requirements include MA program graduation, BLS, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner; basic computer proficiency.
• Travel to satellite offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and escort patient into the room.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and room readiness.
• Document vital signs and allergies in the EHR; update medication lists.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in the PMS and EHR.
• Provide referrals and/or consult orders in the PMS/EHR.
• Assist with scribing and other duties as assigned.
• Travel to satellite offices as needed.
