Starling Physicians is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clerical duties, patient flow and care. The role emphasizes room setup, patient preparation, vitals collection and accurate documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities include maintaining patient flow, scheduling, supply management, and coordinating referrals, while upholding safety standards. Travel to satellite offices is required as needed.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program.
• 0-1 year related work experience; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner.
• Basic proficiency in computer use.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares the examination room and escorts the patient into the room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visit.
• Documents vitals and allergies in the EHR.
• Schedules appointments in the Practice Management System and EHR.
• Assists in ordering and maintaining supplies.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in the PMS and EHR.
• Adheres to safety precautions when administering medications and disposing of medical waste.
• Communicates problems or issues to supervisor promptly.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed.

Formação

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program
