Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with patient care, clerical duties and workflow optimization.

You will prepare examination rooms, take vital signs, document allergies in EHR, schedule appointments, and assist with procedures across satellite offices in New Jersey. Strong communication and multitasking are essential; 0-1 year experience preferred, BLS required within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• Graduated from accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program, required.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and escort patient; maintain room cleanliness.
• Manage efficient patient flow and visit preparation.
• Document vital signs and allergies in EHR accurately.
• Enter orders, schedule appointments, and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain supplies and stock examination rooms.
• Communicate safety and patient needs to supervisors.
