Job summary

VillageMD in New Providence, NJ is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs, and NPs across patient care activities. You will prepare exam rooms, assist during visits, take vital signs, document in EHR, and coordinate referrals with the care team.

Must have MA training or phlebotomy program completion, BLS, and strong English communication. This role requires on-site work and flexibility with schedules to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy program required.
• 0-1 year related work experience required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient into room.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and prepares pertinent information for visits.
• Documents vital signs and allergies in EHR; updates medication list.
• Assists with scheduling, PMS entries, and referrals in PMS/EHR.
• Supports transition of care to UCC/Hospital and adheres to safety precautions.
