Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs across clinical workflows in New Jersey. The MA will prepare rooms, manage patient flow, collect vitals, and document in the EHR and PMS systems.

Ideal candidates have a relevant MA/phlebotomy program and 0–1 year of experience, with BLS near. Travel to satellite offices may be required; compensation reflects industry norms for hourly positions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited MA or phlebotomy program.
• 0–1 year related work experience required; 2–4 preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and escort patient to room.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and accurate documentation in EHR.
• Schedule appointments per guidelines and manage referrals.
• Stock and maintain supplies in examination rooms.
• Obtain vital signs and update medication lists in EHR.
• Assist in transition of care and coordinate with PMS/EHR orders.
• Provide scribing services as needed.
