Job summary

TexomaCare, Denison, Texas, seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient care. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the Electronic Medical Record under physician guidance.

You may help prepare exam rooms and assist at the front desk as needed. Requirements include a Medical Assistant certificate or one year of MA experience, High School diploma, BLS/CPR certification, and familiarity with medical terminology.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (clinic protocol).
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems (MS Office).
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• The Medical Assistant is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties under the direction of a physician.
• Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Assist in examination and treatment and document in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist in covering the front desk as needed.
