Job summary

TexomaCare is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support physicians in patient care. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under physician direction.

Responsibilities include preparing examination rooms and assisting with front desk duties as needed. Ideal candidates hold a MA certificate, BLS/CPR, and have strong communication skills, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or 1 year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in/out per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures.
• End-of-day cash balancing & charge reconciliation.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs incl. Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational & interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English & Spanish preferred.
• Courteously and professionally interact with others.
• Familiarity with office equipment (fax, copier, phone).
• EKG machine and other patient care testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment under physician direction.
• Interview patients and measure vitals (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and procedures as directed.
• Document in EMR per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare rooms for patient examinations.
• Assist front desk as required.
