Job summary

TexomaCare seeks a qualified Medical Assistant to join our clinic teams in Denison, TX. You will assist physicians, take vitals, perform venipuncture and basic tests, and document in the EMR under IPM guidelines. You may also support front desk duties as needed.

Ideal candidates hold a MA certificate or relevant experience, with BLS/CPR current and familiarity with medical terminology. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation per clinic protocol.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and Microsoft Office.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing patients and measuring vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Venipuncture and procedures as directed by physician within scope of practice.
• Documentation in EMR per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Assist in covering the front desk as required.
