Job summary

Texoma Care, affiliated with Texoma Medical Center, is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and care teams in a high-volume clinic in Denison, TX. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, perform venipuncture, and document in the EMR under physician direction.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, assisting with examinations, and providing front-d desk coverage as needed. Current BLS/CPR and MA certification or experience are required, with English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in/check-out per clinic protocol.
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation per protocol.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Must be courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Office equipment such as fax, copier, and telephone system.
• EKG machine and other patient care testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Interview patients and record vital signs (pulse, temperature, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and other procedures as directed.
• Document in the Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Assist in covering the front desk as required.
