Job summary

TexomaCare in Denison, TX is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with patient exams, vital signs, venipuncture, and documentation in the Electronic Medical Record. You will prepare treatment rooms and occasionally assist at the front desk.

The role requires a High School Diploma, current BLS/CPR, and either a Medical Assistant Certificate or one year of experience. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Familiarity with medical terminology required
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol)
• General medical office procedures
• Understand end-of-day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol)
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions
• Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system
• EKG machine, other patient care testing

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height) under physician supervision
• Assist examination and treatment of patients as directed by physician
• Perform venipuncture and other procedures as required within scope of practice
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Assist in covering the front desk as required
