Job summary

TexomaCare, affiliated with Texoma Medical Center, is seeking a Medical Assistant in Denison, TX. You will assist physicians, take vitals, perform venipuncture, document in EMR, and help prepare treatment rooms.

Join a team of physicians and support staff dedicated to quality patient care in a multi-site Texoma region. Must have HS diploma and MA certification/experience; BLS/CPR preferred and bilingual skills a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical terminology required.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out process (according to clinic protocol).
• General medical office procedures.
• Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation process (according to clinic protocol).
• Proficiency in basic computer programs and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of patient care duties under physician supervision.
• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Perform venipuncture and other procedures as directed by the physician.
• Document in Electronic Medical Record per IPM guidelines.
• Prepare treatment rooms for examinations.
• Assist in covering the front desk as required.
