Job summary

Texoma Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support a team of physicians in Denison, TX. You will interview patients, record vital signs, perform venipuncture, and assist in examinations under a physician's direction.

Responsibilities include documenting in EMR, preparing exam rooms, and occasionally covering the front desk. A High School diploma and BLS/CPR are required, with MA certification or 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Medical Assistant Certificate or 1 year MA experience.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• Experience with patient check-in and check-out.
• General medical office procedures.
• End of day cash balancing and charge reconciliation.
• Proficiency in basic computer programs (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Courteous and professional in all interactions.
• Familiar with office equipment and EKG testing.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination and treatment of patients under physician supervision.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, venipuncture and related procedures.
• Document in EMR per IPM guidelines and prepare examination rooms.
• Assist in covering the front desk as required.
