Job summary

Next Level Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care and assist the Physician/Medical Provider in a fast-paced facility. The MA will greet patients, prepare exam rooms, measure vitals, and document in the EMR.

Duties include performing CLIA-waived tests, urine drug screens, wound care, and maintaining a clean environment. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, BCLS certification, and flexibility to work day, night, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some medical experience.
• BCLS certification.
• Ability to work all shifts including day, night, and weekend hours as needed.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with electronic medical records.
• Detail oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, register them, and escort to exam room.
• Measure vital signs and document in chart/EMR.
• Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and room for examination.
• Assist the Physician/Medical Provider with procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment; sterilize instruments and ensure supplies.
• Perform diagnostic tests including eye exams, ECG, pulse ox, and spirometry.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and process specimens for send-out.
• Perform DOT and Non-DOT urine drug screens with proper chain of custody.
• Remove sutures/staples and manage dressings.
• Adhere to safety requirements and participate in QA and training.
