Job summary

Next Level Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care under the supervision of the Physician/Medical Provider. The MA ensures smooth patient flow, greets patients, and prepares exam rooms.

Responsibilities include measuring vital signs, recording in EMR, assisting with procedures, performing basic diagnostic tests and lab work, and maintaining a clean, safe environment. The role requires strong communication and reliability, with flexibility for shifts.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Some medical experience.
• BCLS certification.
• Ability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with EMR.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in waiting area and escort to room.
• Measure vital signs and record in chart/EMR.
• Explain treatment procedures and prepare patient and exam room.
• Assist Physician/Medical Provider with procedures.
• Maintain clean, safe environment; sterilize instruments.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as eye exams, EKG, spirometry.
• Perform CLIA-waived lab tests and process specimens.
• Collect and send out specimens to laboratories.
• Adhere to safety procedures and report unsafe situations.
• Participate in ongoing education and quality improvement.
