Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant works closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and provide an exceptional guest experience. This role blends front desk responsibilities with clinical tasks to support a seamless patient journey.

Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year of MA experience, graduation from an MA program, and CPR/BLS certification. Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification or registration is strongly preferred; certification/registration required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification is required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, provide injections, and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per provider orders.
• Support care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, documentation, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
