Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our care team. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and deliver an exceptional guest experience.

The role combines Medical Receptionist duties with clinical MA responsibilities to support a seamless patient journey. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of MA experience, a formal MA program credential, CPR/BLS certification, and possibly phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in primary care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state-specific MA certification or registration preferred; required where state laws mandate it.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review patient information and collect updated health information for providers.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, assist with procedures.
• Work with contracted labs for tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed by Providers.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and coordinating care outside the clinic.
• Process test results and communicate outcomes to patients as instructed.
