Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality primary care. The MA works closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a seamless guest experience, acting as both a medical receptionist and clinical support.

The role requires MA program graduation, CPR/BLS certification, and preferred phlebotomy experience. Team-based care and a patient-centered model are central to our approach and culture.

Qualifications

• 1 year of MA experience in primary care preferred
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred or required where applicable
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date
• Phlebotomy experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to rooms and ensure exam rooms are clean and stocked
• Review medical information and update health data for the provider
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as directed
• Coordinate care with team and schedule referrals and tests
• Handle front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, and referrals
• Document data in medical records and communicate test results
• Support outreach to patients to improve engagement
