Oak Street Health is looking for a Medical Assistant to support clinicians by gathering patient information, performing screenings, and aiding in clinic operations. The role requires flexibility, strong communication, and teamwork to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Ideal candidates have 1 year MA experience, state/national certification as required, CPR/BLS, and EMR familiarity. A patient-centered, proactive approach and a willingness to engage with diverse populations are essential.

Qualifications

• State or national certification (as required by state) or graduation from an accredited medical assistant course.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant.
• CPR or BLS Certification.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.
• Computer skills: navigate Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel/Sheets.

Responsabilités

• Ensure efficient patient flow and room patients promptly.
• Complete vital signs, screenings, and medication reviews.
• Inventory supplies and stock exam rooms.
• Respond to patient requests for telephonic support (lab results, records).
• Administer vaccinations and perform point-of-care tests per state regulations.
• Import documents into EMR via scanning/pdf upload.
• Participate in care team meetings to discuss patient care and clinic operations.
• Process orders for durable medical equipment.
• Request medical records from external providers as required.
