Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) or Heart Saver (HS) from the American Heart Association is required.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Dept. of Public Health must be obtained within 1 year from hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• Prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist in routine physical examinations or clinical procedures.
• Review laboratory results and communicate abnormalities to physicians.
