Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS or Heart Saver certification from the American Heart Association; must be obtained within 3 months if not on hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by the MA Department of Health must be obtained within 1 year.
• Certification grace period may be granted in extenuating circumstances.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs and health status.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests.
• Prepare, document, and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assist in routine physical examinations and review lab results with physicians.
