Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Massachusetts is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support ambulatory clinic operations. You will escort patients, record vital signs, and assist with procedures including EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections. The role requires a Medical Assistant credential, High School Diploma, and a current BLS certification; credentialing must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus may be available. This is a full-time position with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification from AHA; within 3 months if not available at hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health; within 1 year of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vital signs.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests per clinic standards.
• Assist in preparing and administering injections within scope of practice.
