Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for Lincoln Internal Medicine in Worcester, MA. This non-exempt, 40-hour-per-week role supports patient care, performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and routine clinical duties, while handling clerical tasks per office protocol.

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and MA credential approved by MA DOH. Mon–Fri schedule, day shift, potential signing bonus during interview process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS or Heart Saver certification required.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health required.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients and records vital signs.
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, POC tests.
• Assists in routine examinations and supports clerical duties.
• Maintains patient records and processes prescriptions as directed.
• Collaborates with insurers for pre-authorization where needed.
