Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Franklin, MA is seeking a Medical Assistant for day shift work. Responsibilities include escorting patients, taking vitals, performing EKGs and phlebotomy, administering injections, and assisting with clinical procedures.

Required are a high school diploma, BLS/HS certification within 3 months, and a MA DOH-approved Medical Assistant credential. A signing bonus may be available. This is a non-exempt, 40-hour work week in a clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS/Heart Saver certification required within 3 months from date of hire.
• Medical Assistant credential approved by MA Department of Health (ARMA, NHA, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and record vitals.
• Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point-of-Care tests.
• Prepare, document and administer non-intravenous injections.
• Assist in performing routine physical exams or clinical procedures.
• Review labs and escalate abnormal results to physicians.
