Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• BLS/HS certification must be obtained within 3 months from date of hire.
• Medical Assistant credential must be obtained within 1 year from date of hire/transfer.

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to examination rooms and records vital signs (BP, temp, height, weight).
• Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and Point of Care tests according to clinic standards.
• May prepare, document and administer non-intravenous injections as directed.
• Assists in performing routine physical exams or clinical procedures.
• Reviews lab results and flags abnormal findings to physicians.
• Communicates observations to licensed clinicians and assists with room setup and equipment.
