Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable training.
• A minimum of 1 year MA experience preferred.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience with EClinicalWorks or similar EMR systems.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and assist with check-in to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for the care team.
• Update member information in the EMR system accurately.
• Request medical records and upload to the EMR system.
• Conduct patient intake, measure vitals, and document medical history.
• Assist in examinations and routine screenings as directed.
• Communicate changes in patient conditions to the PCP or team.
• Handle calls, messages, and patient communications for the physician.
• Apply dressings, perform basic first aid under supervision, and assist as needed.
