Job summary

ArchWell Health seeks a Medical Assistant, Center Float, to flexibly support our member care needs across centers. You will assume front-office or direct patient care tasks, assist in intake, vitals, and routine screenings, and support the PCP and care team to ensure efficient, compassionate service for seniors.

You will work under physician supervision to document care, manage records in EMR, and help with center events while maintaining a high standard of patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare vocational training required.
• Minimum 1 year MA experience preferred.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and assist with check-in to create a welcoming environment.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals for a multidisciplinary team.
• Update member information in the EMR system.
• Request medical records and upload documentation to EMR.
• Take patient intake, measure vitals, and perform routine screenings.
• Communicate patient needs to PCP and care team.
• Answer calls and relay information to patients and staff as needed.
• Assist with dressings, wound care, and basic first aid under supervision.
• Maintain OSHA safety standards and accurate documentation.
• Support center events as needed.
