Job summary

Vera Whole Health is opening a brand-new clinic in Indianapolis, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant II to join from day one. The role supports exams, rooming patients, EMR documentation, and care coordination with physicians and advanced practice providers.

The position offers a Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM schedule, with no evenings or weekends, good benefits, and a starting pay range of $20–$24 per hour, DOE. Start date January 2027 and relocation considerations may apply.

Qualifications

• Current Medical Assistant Certification required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain upon hire.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and document vital signs.
• Review and update patient medications, histories, and other clinical information.
• Prepare patients for provider visits, exams, and procedures.
• Assist physicians and licensed providers with examinations, treatments, procedures, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing.
• Complete patient follow-up tasks, including patient communication, documentation updates, and care coordination activities.
• Support medication, vaccine, and supply management processes.
• Maintain exam rooms, equipment, instruments, and clinical supplies in a clean, safe, and ready condition.
• Identify and resolve routine documentation or workflow issues to support quality patient care.
• Support and guide less experienced medical assistants on day-to-day workflows and best practices.
