Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's St. John's Cardiology in St. Johns, FL is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant. Day schedule Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, on-site. The role supports physicians, schedules exams, and maintains patient records with a patient-centered approach.

You will prepare treatment rooms, record vitals, and handle phone communications to ensure efficient clinic operations. A strong multitasker with teamwork spirit will thrive here.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years clinical experience in a fast-paced environment.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire; Medical Assistant certification preferred.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Medical Assistant preferred.
• Nat'l Medical Assistant (MA) Certification preferred - CMA (Cert. Medical Assistant), RMA (Registered Medical Assistant)/AAMA Cert. (American Association of Medical Assistants). NCCT, AAMA, or AMT are acceptable certification sites.
• Completion of Basic Machine Operators (BMO) cert. preferred.Current registration with State of FL as a BMO Operator preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
• Minimum of two years of clinical experience, with strong multitasking, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting multiple healthcare providers, including managing patient phone communications and coordinating clinical tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations.
