Job summary

Ascension Sacred Heart in Miramar Beach, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to support cardiology services. You will assist with patient examinations and treatments under physician direction, take vital signs, interview patients, and handle light clerical tasks in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a BLS certification within 30 days of hire and a preferred AAMA credential, with a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience).

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 1 month of hire date or transfer date (AHA or ARC accepted).
• Medical Assistant credential from AAMA preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of job-specific experience required.

• Assist with treatments ordered by physician as supervised by physician or registered nurse.
• Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
• Perform basic clerical duties including answering the phone, maintaining records, and filing.
