Ascension St. Vincent's St. Johns Hospital in St.

Johns, FL is seeking an Evening, Part-time role. You’ll serve as the first point of contact for the clinical area, welcoming patients and routing communications to care teams, while scheduling appointments to keep the patient flow efficient. You will assist physicians with software navigation for orders, transfers, and discharge tasks, and maintain charts and departmental files.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider preferred (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
• Note: Licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the clinical area, providing a professional welcome to patients while routing communications between families and care teams.
• Manage the patient journey by scheduling appointments and consultations to ensure timely care.
• Support physicians with software navigation, including order entries, patient transfers, and discharge documentation.
• Maintain patient charts and manage departmental files and correspondence; coordinate staff schedules and timekeeping; oversee meeting minutes.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Serve as the primary point of contact for the clinical area, providing a professional welcome to patients while expertly routing communications between families and care teams.
• Manage the patient journey by strategically scheduling appointments and consultations to ensure a timely and efficient flow of care.
• Facilitate essential clinical workflows by supporting physicians with software navigation, including order entries, patient transfers, and discharge documentation.
• Maintain clinical readiness through the meticulous assembly of patient charts and the management of all departmental files and correspondence. Orchestrate office logistics by coordinating staff schedules, managing timekeeping systems, and overseeing meeting requirements and minutes.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration
