Job summary

Knowledge Services is seeking an Eligibility Specialist to work on-site in West Lafayette, IN. You will process applications, maintain cases in the state system, and resolve client service issues in line with FSSA policies while handling calls from Medicaid, SNAP and TANF applicants and recipients.

The role starts at $18/hr, with paid time off, benefits, and a 40-hour work week (Mon-Fri 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM local time). Join a seasoned, woman-owned MSP delivering essential public services.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• Some college coursework preferred but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are essential.
• Accurate data entry with typing speed of at least 40 keystrokes/minute.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Applies eligibility rules and regulations when evaluating information submitted by customers in support of initial or continuing eligibility determination.
• Checks various system interfaces and exchanges to verify Customer information.
• Assist in answering all in-coming phone calls from customers.
• Attend meetings and trainings as requested and maintains up-to-date knowledge of all programs and systems.
• Contacts customers to clarify eligibility information if necessary.
