Job summary

Erie Family Health Centers in Waukegan, IL is seeking an Insurance Navigator to join our Front-End Revenue Cycle Operations team. You will assist with Medicaid/Marketplace enrollment, renewals, and patient education while delivering friendly customer service to diverse patients.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in healthcare, knowledge of Medicaid Managed Care, and familiarity with enrollment platforms (ABE, Get Covered Illinois).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of experience in the healthcare field preferred.
• Experience with Medicaid Managed Care strongly preferred.
• Experience with State enrollment platforms (ABE and Get Covered Illinois) preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for Medicaid/Marketplace eligibility and assist with enrollment.
• Educate patients on coverage options and assist with program enrollment.
• Conduct outreach to prepare, educate, and confirm appointments and assist with redeterminations.
• Follow up on applications and requests for information to support timely processing.
• Provide educational materials about coverage and community programs.
• Review and reconcile patient accounts for insurance assessment in the EHR system.
• Document accurately and participate in trainings and outreach events.
• Travel to other Erie sites as needed and may include evenings/weekends.
