Job summary

Erie Family Health Center is seeking an Insurance Navigator Team Leader to supervise day-to-day navigator duties and guide patients through Medicaid and Marketplace enrollment. The role supports outreach, education, and enrollment processes across Erie sites.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in customer service, experience with insurance enrollment platforms, and a preference for bilingual English/Spanish; healthcare setting experience and prior supervision are a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Experience with state insurance enrollment platforms (ABE and Get Covered Illinois).
• Prior healthcare (physician office) experience preferred.
• Prior experience managing direct reports preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screen patients for eligibility and assist with enrollment/renewal of Medicaid, Marketplace, and other programs.
• Educate patients on coverage options and assist with enrollment (sliding scale, IBCCP, Manage My Case).
• Conduct outreach and provide individualized help with applications, redeterminations, and inquiries.
• Monitor and follow up on pending applications and notices to support timely coverage.
• Review/reconcile patient accounts and manage insurance work queues in the EHR system.
• Ensure timely completion of required documentation and participate in cross-site coverage as needed.
• Travel to other Erie locations and support evenings/weekends as required.
